THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program focused on reskilling and upskilling women in business in the rural areas.
  • Also a keen focus on empowering the women with relevant digital skills to assist them in running their businesses in the 4ir era.

OUTCOMES

  • The program managed to achieve the awarding of laptops to the participating women.
  • They also got cash injection towards the growth of their businesses.
  • The women were also provided with a structure that allowed to receive continuous mentorship to assist them to cope and implement the knowledge they learnt to their businesses

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program is targeted at women from the age of 20 to 46 years.

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was set to raise entrepreneurship awareness amongst the youth.
  • Also link the participating young entrepreneurs and the aspiring entrepreneurs with relevant stakeholders to assist them with the growth of their SMEs.
  • The young entrepreneurs were to be offered mentorship in business.
  • Another aspect was also providing the young people with personal development knowledge so that they could be well equipped as to how to carry themselves as they grow in the business world.

OUTCOMES

  • The participants were awarded working capital to aid with the day today running of their business.
  • The program was also successful in offering mentorship to the young entrepreneurs.
  • The young entrepreneurs were successfully linked to relevant stakeholders that gave them assistance in terms of the growth of their businesses.
  • A continuous support structure was created to offer continuous assistance to the young entrepreneurs in terms of brand marketing of their companies.
  • They also got cash injections to boost the cash flow of their businesses.

  • The program was targeted at young people from the age of 18 to 35 years.

  • The program was aimed at training the students the requirements and skills for the 4ir.

  • Students were also taught about the skills that are currently in demand in the country.

  • The students were also offered practical experience in regards to the skills they had learnt during the programme.

OUTCOMES

  • Students were awarded with bursaries to assist them in taking their education further.

  • They were also mentored in regards of the skills that they need to have and develop that are in demand in the 4ir

  • Students were linked to possible recruit agencies for future employment opportunities.

THE FOCAL POINTS OF THE PROGRAM

  • The program was aimed at raising awareness around disability in Lephalale and Witbank.

  • It was also set to open up channel for people living with disabilities to be able to access opportunities

  • The participating PWD were also to be offered mentorship in various aspects of life such as personal development.

OUTCOMES

  • The PWD were linked to various opportunities such as employment opportunities.

  • There was also successful skills transfer whereby the PWD were offered relevant skills to assist them to be able to better themselves and be at a better position when it comes to getting opportunities.

  • Assisting material such as wheelchairs and crutches were also donated to the PWD.

TARGETED GROUP

  • The program was targeted at people living with disabilities in Lephalale and Witbank.

750 Amped, a national campaign that aimed to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 and to inspire changes in social behaviour through training, education, and awareness.

Targeted People: The initiative targets individuals seeking employment opportunities and career advancement within the mining sector. Specifically, itfocuses on upskilling individuals with digital skills relevant to the industry, thereby enhancing their employability and contributing to sectoral innovation.

Where It Happened: The initiative spans across all nine provinces of South Africa, ensuring nationwide accessibility and impact. By reaching learners in each province, it maximizes inclusivity and addresses regional disparities in skill development.

Outcomes

  1. 800 Jobs Created: The initiative has already generated employment opportunities for 800 individuals across the country, fostering economic empowerment and reducing unemployment rates.
  2. Digital Skills Development: Through targeted training and education initiatives, participants acquire essential digital skills tailored to the mining sector’s demands. This equips them with the necessary competencies to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  3. Innovation Promotion: By fostering a culture of innovation within the mining sector, the initiative encourages the adoption of digital technologies and practices.
